That was the message delivered by Louise Phelan, VP of global operations EMEA, PayPal, at the latest Dublin Chamber of Commerce Dublin 2050 breakfast event in Dublin on Thursday morning. The Chamber's Dublin 2050 series, sponsored by Fujitsu Ireland, is examining how Dublin will look in 34 years’ time. Ms Phelan said Ireland Inc needs to "get over" the idea of having to buy your own house and concentrate on making available accommodation that is convenient for people to get to and from work. The message delivered at the latest Dublin Chamber of Commerce event on Dublin 2050 on Thursday June 16th, surmised that Ireland’s workers of today are looking for convenience and ease of living. That was according to Louise Phelan, VP of global operations EMEA PayPal.

The Chamber’s Dublin 2050 series is examining how Dublin will look in 34 years’ time. This was just one of the four events being held throughout the year by Dublin Chamber. Each will see a senior business leader invited to speak on how Dublin can become a smart, open, connected and attractive city.

Ms Phelan commented on housing further saying Ireland Inc needs to “get over” the idea of having to buy your own house and instead concentrate on making accommodation available that will conveniently facilitate people getting to and from work.
