EMIT, a leading Irish IT business productivity and technology firm, today announced it has won the 2016 Microsoft Global Small and Midmarket Cloud Solutions Partner of the Year Award. The company was honoured among a global field of top Microsoft partners for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology.

Eamon Moore, managing director, EMIT, said: “We’re thrilled to win on the global stage and I’m delighted with the dedication and hard work of the entire team that has resulted in this recognition. Less than two years after aligning our business with Microsoft Cloud technologies we have grown our business significantly, whilst delivering innovative and industry-leading solutions to our clients. In the last year alone our Office 365 business has grown by 500%, while our Azure business has increased by 400%.

“I would like to thank the Microsoft Ireland team for their support and commitment to EMIT which has been instrumental in our success to date. In the last year EMIT has achieved six Microsoft partner certifications, including Gold partner status for Small and Midmarket Cloud Solutions, and the Microsoft Ireland team has supported us every step of the way”.

Microsoft chose EMIT from 2,500 award entrants

Awards were presented in several categories, with winners chosen from a set of more than 2,500 entrants from 119 countries worldwide. EMIT was recognised for providing outstanding cloud solutions and services. The Global Small and Midmarket Cloud Solutions Partner of the Year Award acknowledges companies that have made an outstanding contribution to growing Microsoft’s cloud solutions business. EMIT received the award for its growth and excellence across Microsoft’s cloud offering.

“We are honoured to recognise EMIT as this year’s winner of the 2016 Microsoft Global Small and Midmarket Cloud Solutions Partner of the Year award,” said Gavriella Schuster, General Manager, Worldwide Partner Group, Microsoft Corp.

“EMIT is a prime example of the excellent talent we see in our Microsoft partner community to deliver innovative and transformative solutions to our mutual customers.”
